ANAMNESIS
/ SYMPTOMS:
A 40 year old patient reports about a for some weeks existing and not tender
swelling in the right cervical region after the consumption of alcohol.
FINDINGS:
Immediately
medial of the ramus
of the mandible between jaw bone and submandibular
gland a lobulated,
hypoechoic structure with clearly recognizable distal signal amplification
is visible.
DIAGNOSIS:
Enlargement
of the submandibular lymphatic nodes. With concurrent existing B-symptoms
the patient is suspected of having a lymphoma.
