CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
47-year-old patient with mobile, painless, preauricular
swelling in the left parotid gland.
No pains, facial nerve shows no pathological findings.
FINDINGS:
The axial CT image through the parotid
gland reveals a distinct
right-sided hyperdense mass lesion after contrast administration.
The mass is relatively well defined. The left
parotid gland shows no pathological appearance.
DIAGNOSIS:
Metastasis of a hypernephroid carcinoma
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Other benign and malignant tumors of the parotid gland.
