CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with painless swelling in
the left parotid gland. The swelling is relatively homogeneously palpable. There
are symptoms of night sweat and weight loss.The facial nerve is not affected.
FINDINGS:
The T2 image demonstrates a
well defined hyperdense mass in the left parotid gland.
The mass appears hypodense in
the non-contrast T1 image and homogeneously hyperdense after
contrast administration.
DIAGNOSIS:
Low grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Other benign tumors of the parotid gland.
