CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
59-year-old heavy smoker with severe difficulty in swallowing.


FINDINGS:
The CT image at the level of the larynx after contrast administration demonstrates a mass around the right vocal cord which extends from the arytenoid cartilage/cricoid cartilage to the ventral commissure (below).
The lowest portion of the arytenoid cartilage and of the cricoid cartilage on the right side appear hypersclerosized in the bony window (below), indicating possible invasion of cartilage.



DIAGNOSIS:
Larynx carcinoma with invasion of cartilage (T4)
