CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
61-year-old patient with severe headache. Progressive hemiplegia.



FINDINGS:
CCT with contrastmedium.
Right-sided parietal mass lesion with a central hypodense area and broad peripheral contrast-enhancing regions. Mass lesion exceeds midline. Perifocal hypodense rim. Asymmetric appearance of the right ventricle. Flatenned parietooccipital gyri and sulci on the right.


DIAGNOSIS:
Glioblastoma multiforme that exceeds the midline with central necrosis and mass effect. Perifocal edema.


DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Other primary brain tumors and metastases. Abscess
