CASE
HISTORY
/ CLINIC:
30 years old patient with acute headache.
FINDINGS:
Unenhanced
CCT (i.e.
without contrast medium).
Hyperdense
appearance of the left
temporal sulci. Hyperdense mass in the left
sylvian fissure. Hyperdense intracerebral
mass on the left. Asymmetric
appearance of the left temporal lobe. Compression
of the left lateral ventricle.
DIAGNOSIS:
Most notably ruptured
aneurysm of the left middle cerebral artery with subarachnoidal
haemorrhage and intracerebral
haemorrhage on the
left temporal
side with
mass
effect.
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Tumour
