CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with severe abdominal pains due to stab wound of the abdomen resulting
in openning of the abdominal cavity.
FINDINGS:
Fluid collection in the abdominal cavity of density
similar to blood. Densities
similar to air can also be seen beneath the abdominal wall.
DIAGNOSIS:
Pneumoperitoneum and fluid collection (blood)
as a result of stabbing leading to the openning
of the abdominal cavity .
