ANAMNESIS
/ SYMPTOMS:
A patient complains about a right-sided dysphagia and pain in the right neck.
FINDINGS:
On
the sonogramm the parenchyma of the right parotid
gland, masseter
muscle and mandible can
be seen without pathological findings. Distal of the parenchyma and quite caudally
located a strongly hyperechoic
reflection with
distal signal extinction is visible. On a colour encoded Dopplerīs sonogramm
some vessels are
visible around it.
DIAGNOSIS:
The
patient shows a clearly visible and extended styloid
process.
