ANAMNESIS
/ SYMPTOMS:
A patient who underwent a neck dissection on the left side now complains about
an intermittently occuring, dragging pain in the area of the left neck.
FINDINGS:
In
the area of the neck there is no evidence of a pathological process in terms
of a tumour. On the longitudinal plain the common
carotid artery and its ramification into
the internal and external carotid artery are visible very well.
DIAGNOSIS:
In
a patient who underwent neck dissection no pathological findings can be made.
The patient is suspected of suffering from vertebragenic pain, an orthopaedic
diagnostic confirmation is recommended.
