ANAMNESIS
/ SYMPTOMS:
After a common cold the patient reports about an accutely occured, tender and
soft swelling in the lateral cervical region.
FINDINGS:
In
the right cervical region shows a low, partly echofree and well definable tumour with
an extent of 4 x 5 cm that is located between the sternocleidomastoid
muscle, the submandibular
gland, internal
and external carotid artery and jugular
vein. The tumour is compressible in the ultrasound image with the ultrasonic
transducer.
DIAGNOSIS:
Lateral
cervical cyst on the left side of the neck
