CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
48-year-old patient with a malignant melanoma on the right shoulder. Increasing
swelling and pressure sensation in the right tonsillar fossa for a few weeks
now.
FINDINGS:
The
contrast-enhanced CT scan demonstrates a contrast-enhancing
mass lesion in the right tonsillar fossa. The mass extends anteriory to
the palate.
DIAGNOSIS:
Metastasis of
a malignant melanoma
DIFFERENTIAL
DIAGNOSIS:
Tonsillar carcinoma, other metastasis
