CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with increasing dysphagia and globus sensation. Increasing pressure sensation in the tongue and in the floor of the mouth.



FINDINGS:
The T2-weighted image (upper left image) demonstrates a hyperintense mass lesion on the left side of the mouth floor. The mass lesion is also high in signal in the pre-contrast image without fat suppression (upper right image). The mass remains hyperintense after contrast administration as seen in the T1-weighted coronal image ( lower image).


DIAGNOSIS:
Liposarcoma


DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Lipoma
