CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
60-year-old female with increasing globus sensation and slight odynophagia (painful swallowing). The pains radiate to the left ear. The mirror examination revealed a swelling in the left tonsillar fossa.


FINDINGS:
The left tonsil appears prominently swollen and contrast-enhancing in both contrast-enhanced CT scans.


DIAGNOSIS:
Tonsillar carcinoma


DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Tonsillitis, metastasis
