CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient noticed a painless,
mobile preauricular swelling on the left side of the face while shaving.
No other pathological findings exist besides the visible and palpable changes. No tenderness.

FINDINGS:
The T2-weighted image shows a relatively homogeneous, hyperdense, well-defined mass in the right parotid gland. This appears hypodense in the T1-weighted image and shows a strong contrast-enhancement after contrast administration. The mass is better seen than the ascending portion of the lower jaw in the coronal image

DIAGNOSIS:
Pleomorphic adenoma

DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Other benign mass lesions of the parotid gland.
