CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with severely impaired nasal breathing for
years. Has had many opreations of the paranasal sinuses.
FINDINGS:
The coronal CT scan (bony window) without contrast application demonstrates a roundish
bony structure on the right side of the nasal cavity close to the right orbital
cone. The entire nasal
cavity and the ethmoidal
sinus demonstrate a hypodense opacity.
DIAGNOSIS:
Osteoma of the right nasal cavity. Nasal polyp.
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Other bony masses.
