CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with impaired nasal breathing affecting both nostrils.
The nasal endoscopy revealed a hyalinous swollen mucous membrane in the middle nasal meatus. No other pathological findings were found. Occasional pressure pain over the right maxillary sinus.


FINDINGS:
Hypodense filling occupying almost the whole right maxillary sinus, a large calcification is demonstrated in the hypodense opacity. The other sinuses demonstrated are clear. Deviation of the septum to the left. Hyperplasia of the nasal concha.


DIAGNOSIS:
Fungal sinusitis of the right maxillary sinus.


DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Ridght-sided maxillary sinusitis of a different origin.
