CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
45-year-old carpenter with nasal obstruction and nosebleed from the right
nostril.
FINDINGS:
Demonstration
of a relatively well circumscribed, distinctively inhomogeneous contrast-enhancing mass
lesion in the right nasal cavity, beween the nasal septum and the nasal
conchae. The mass is
seen larger in the axial CT scan done at a more caudal position (lower picture)
and infiltrates the palate (not shown).
DIAGNOSIS:
Squamous
cell carcinoma of the right nasal cavity
DIFFERENTIAL
DIAGNOSIS:
Adenocarcinoma.
