CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
63-year-old patient with pains on the bridge of the nose and frequent nosebleeds.
FINDINGS:
The axial scan (upper picture) demonstrates a contrast-enhancing mass
lesion in the main nasal cavity around the cartilaginous septum measuring
2.0 x 1.0 cm in diameter. Mass infiltrates the subcutaneous tissue.
The bony
erosion of the nasal bone is demonstrated in the bony window image (lower
picture).
DIAGNOSIS:
Adenocarcinoma of the nasal cavity due to exposition to wood dust.
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Squamous cell carcinoma of the main nasal caity.
