CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
35-year-old female with severe recurring
frontal headaches. No clue of sinusitis or rhinitis could be obtained from history.
No abnormalities were found in all the mirror examinations performed. Especially
the nose findings were were normal.
FINDINGS:
The frontal
sinuses are clear in the coronal
CT scan (bony window) but appear very large (especially
the right cranial portions).
DIAGNOSIS:
The
frontal headache is due to pneumosinus dilatans.
DIFFERENTIAL
DIAGNOSIS:
Large
frontal sinus on both sides.
