CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
Female with increasing obstruction of the left nasal passage. Discharge of partially purulent secretion from the left nostril. A round tumor that almost entirely occludes the left main nasal cavity was found during endoscopy.

FINDINGS:
The coronal CT scans (bony and soft-tissue windows) without contrast enhancement demonstrate a large hypodense mass lesion in the left nasal cavity. The mass extends to the maxillary sinus and ethmoidal cells and borders cranially on the lamina cribrosa. One can not judge with certainty if the mass spreads intracranially or extends to the left orbital cone.

DIAGNOSIS:
Leiomyosarcoma in the left main nasal cavity and ethmoidal cells on the left.

DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Other malignant or benign tumors in the main nasal cavity.
