CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
49-year-old patient with foreign body sensation after eating fish.
FINDINGS:
The conventional lateral radiograph of the neck demonstrates an arcuated radiopaque mass about
2cm below the hyiod.
Furthermore, distinctive degenerative changes in the cervical spinal are seen
with ventral
structures resembling spondylophytes.
DIAGNOSIS:
Fishbone in hypopharynx.
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Other radiopaque foreign body in the hypopharynx.
