CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with lower limb deep venous thrombosis. Sudden severe thoracic pains
and shortness of breath.
FINDINGS:
The pulmonary angiography shows no evidence
of contrast medium at the origin of the left pulmonary artery (discontinuity
of main branch) unlike the right pulmonary artery which shows a proper
contrast.
DIAGNOSIS:
Fulminant
pulmonary embolism caused by deep
venous thrombosis in a lower
limb.
