CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
71-year-old polytraumatized patient.
FINDINGS:
There is air in the right
flank and in the pleural
cavity.
Increased
density of the right and left inferior lobes. Tubular
structure in the right lung. Soft
tissue enlargement on the left with density similar to blood.
Pleural
drainage (Bülau's method) in the left lung.
DIAGNOSIS:
Subcutaneous
emphysema.
Pneumothorax (mainly
tension pneumothorax, based on the fact that the mediastinum has been displaced
to the left.).
Atelectasis
of the inferior lobes / bleeding of contussion on
both sides. Malpositon of pleural
drainage on the right.
Flank
hematoma on the left.
