CASE
HISTORY/CLINIC:
56-year-old patient with a high blood prolactin level.
FINDINGS:
The axial postcontrast T1-w shows a homogeneously enhanced pituitary with a
slight displacement of the pituitary
stalk to the left due to an intrasellar poorly enhancing lesion of
0,6cm maximum diameter which extends to the right lateral portion of the cavernous
sinus.
DIAGNOSIS:
Microadenoma (<1cm)
of the pituitary
gland.
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Craniopharyngeoma
Meningeoma
