CASE
HISTORY/CLINIC:
34-year-old polytraumatised patient with complex injury of the lumbar vertebrae.
FINDINGS:
Hyperdense (70HE) intraspinal,
epidural fluid
accumulation with isolated hypodense
inclussions having signal similar to air.
The injury
of the lumbar vertebrae (i.e. fractures etc.) is not shown.
DIAGNOSIS:
Open injury
of the vertebral column with spinal epidural
hematoma and epidural
emphysema.
