CASE
HISTORY:
A 45-year-old patient 4 weeks after a car accident. Patient's wife notices
changes in personality.
FINDINGS:
Unenhanced
CCT-scan (i.e.
without contrast administration).
Left-sided sickel-shaped, hypodense
(20-40HE) mass between skull cap and brain surface.
DIAGNOSIS:
Chronic
subdural hematoma on the left (2-4 weeks old).
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Acute subdural hematoma
Epidural hematoma
Hygroma
Subdural empyema
Meningeoma
