CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with severe abdominal pains.


FINDINGS:
Collection of contrast medium in the stomach and converging folds (the mucosal folds run radially to the base of the ulcer).
The edematous swelling of the surrounding tissue causes a wall-like filling defect in the ulcer.


DIAGNOSIS:
acute gastric ulcer
