CASE HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with severe abdominal pains and guarding.


FINDINGS:
Air-fluid level in the small intestine.
Transparent rings parallel to small intestinal loops due to the presence of air in the wall of the small intestine.


DIAGNOSIS:
Pneumatosis intestinalis. Suspicion of paralytic ileus of the small intestine.
