HISTORY / CLINIC:
49-year-old alcoholic with elevated alpha-fetoprotein level.
FINDINGS:
Abdominal CT scan after i.v., oral and rectal application
of contrast material: granular
liver surface, hypertrophized
segment I of the liver and round
liver lesions with intense contrast enhancement.
DIAGNOSIS:
Hepatocellular
carcinoma arising from cirrhosis
of the liver.
