ANAMNESIS
/ SYMPTOMS:
A 70 year old patient shows an acute tumour of the left cheek.
FINDINGS:
On
a transversal plane is between the parotid
gland and the sternocleidomastoid
muscle in
the parotid space an almost echofree
tumour visible
that is hardly definable from the parotid gland and the surrounding tissue.
DIAGNOSIS:
The patient
is suspected of suffering from an abscess
of the parotid gland.
