ANAMNESIS
/ SYMPTOMS:
A 52 year old patient who underwent a resection of a carcinoma of the hypophayrynx
and postsurgical radiochemotherapy realized an increasing swelling in the area
of the chin some weeks ago.
FINDINGS:
An
in its structure softened and thickened subcutaneous
fatty tissue is
clearly visible. The distances between surface of the skin and floor of the mouth
as well as digastric and mylohyoid
muscles are
extended.
DIAGNOSIS:
The patient
is suspected of having a submental lymphoedema.
