CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
37-year-old patient with high fever and swelling of the right side of the neck.
FINDING:
The post contrast CT image of the larynx demonstrates a large
left-sided mass on the ventral side of the larynx and the sheath of nerves
and vessels. Mass enhances inhomogeneously
and contains some tiny air
pockets. The mass displaces the larynx a
bit to the right.
DIAGNOSIS:
Vast parapharyngeal abscess
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Vast malignant tumor
