CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient with a right-sided preauricular asymmetry
that has been existing for years and a pronounced swelling on the
right. The swelling is generally painful and very tender.
FINDINGS:
A relatively
well defined hyperdense mass is seen in the right parotid gland in the non-contrast
T1 image (no fat supression)
The mass appears hypodense in
the fat supression T2 image.
DIAGNOSIS:
Lipoma of the parotid gland.
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:
Other benign mass lesions of the parotid gland.
