CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
22-year-old patient who mistakenly shot himself in the left orbita with an air
gun.
FINDINGS:
Polypoid
swelling of the mucous membrane lining the right maxillary sinus. The
other sinuses are clear. Demonstration of a well
defined roundish opacity in projection to the
outermost edge of the left frontal sinus.
DIAGNOSIS:
Polypoid swelling of the mocous membrane of the right maxillary sinus.
Secondary
finding: Projectile in the subcutis due to gunshot.
