CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient suffering from impaired nasal breathing for many years especially on
the left side. Nasal trauma 10 years ago.
FINDINGS:
The
coronal CT scan without contrast application demonstrates a calcification in
the right nasal cavity. The calcification is surrounded by an area of hypodense
opacity. The paranasal sinuses demonstrated appear to be clear.
DIAGNOSIS:
Rhinolith
in the right nasal cavity.
DIFFERENTIAL
DIAGNOSIS:
Mass
with aspects of
calcification.
