CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
27-year-old victim of a car accident.
FINDINGS:
Serial
rib fracture, not
well defined left lateral shadow of both the left upper and lower lobes of
the lung and fluid
accumulation in the left costodiaphragmatic angle.
DIAGNOSIS:
Pulmonary
contusion with hemorrhage (left upper and lower lobes) with accompanying effusion (hematothorax)
and serial
rib fracture on the left side.
