CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
81-year-old female with severe abdominal disorders. Demonstration
of air-fluid level in the abdominal survey radiograph.
FINDINGS:
Both the axial and coronary MPRs (multiplanar reconstructions) demonstrate a "bull's
eye" lesion caused by the slipping of edematous intestinal
loops into an adjacent portion. The central
mesenteric fatty tissue can be seen. Air-fluid
level in the small intestine.
DIAGNOSIS:
Intussusception
