CASE
HISTORY / CLINIC:
Patient
with severe abdominal pains associated with
guarding and rigidity of the abdominal wall.
FINDINGS:
Evidence
of free
air in the abdominal cavity,
below the right
crus of the diaphragm. Spotted
contrast accumulation in the descending and sigmoid colon due to a previous
examination with contrast medium (Barium) several days ago.
DIAGNOSIS:
Pneumoperitoneum, diverticulosis of
the descending and sigmoid colon.
